As some students enter mainstream, or progress through their secondary school, they either cannot cope with a mainstream environment or are affected by other complex external issues that affect their ability to make progress.

DAPA will provide bespoke interventions, short and long term placements with the aim of understanding and correcting behavioural problems so that students can return to their mainstream provision. There will also be full time placements for those learners who are unlikely to return to mainstream.

Whilst following the national curriculum at secondary level, a focus will be upon ensuring our students have the necessary literacy and numeracy skills that will allow them to function at the next stage of their learning. The aim will be to ensure all students leave with at least five GCSEs including English, maths and science.
